In a second letter printed in the Evening Record only four days later, Joe Corby writes home to his Mother about his experience of going “OVER THE TOP” as the soldiers during World War I would refer to coming out of the trenches and attacking the enemy while running through an open field known then as ‘No Mans Land”.
